rh3toric is Kenric Ströhm.
Designer, coder, mac pundit, Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist (ACHDS), Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC), victim of Penn State’s graphic design program.
rh3toric, was created in response to reading too much Roland Barthes and Wired Magazine at the same time. Mostly it was Barthes’ Image-Music-Text, and key statements like “the rhetoric of image”?, add to that some creative typography influenced by Carsonesque/Wired typography. Barthes is still a genius, but Wired doesn’t get read much around here anymore.
Founded in 1996, rh3toric was originally used as the identity for my freelance and solo projects. In 1999 the focus shifted from freelance to on site consulting. In October 1999 rh3toric was incorporated.
Over the past years I have had the pleasure of working with a vast array of clients, other designers, global corporations, world renowned news organizations and more, in a variety of roles.
