Flash Betrayal
First it was Microsoft’s Smart Tags (read more at ALA). Just a couple weeks ago it was Google’s AutoLink (learn to stop it). Now we (web developers are facing a new threat in keeping our site, our site and the culprit is a someone most web people considered an ally.
Posted on Slashdot this morning we learn about Macromedia’s packaging of the Yahoo! Toolbar with the Flash Player. More at Turdhead.com, Hyperology.com, and rhjr.net.
Granted For us Mac users, this is a Windows Internet Explorer only issue (sort of like every other issue). The problem is that we must develop for this scenario.
